Stop Sign Ahead
Dan and I love sharing with you the thoughts or plans that we think about or create, but today I'm going to tell you about my mom and her influence in appreciating unique things that helped me see life differently and admire the designs that I would have overlooked as "cool". One of those things my mom loved to do was take pictures of Stop Signs. I know that sounds absolutely crazy, but she loved it. I remember thinking, "Stop Signs?! Really? Why?" Then I'd just shake my head and laugh. "Well, Okay, crazy lady..."

My mom passed away this Friday morning surrendering to her Savior's call to take her home. She was faithful to the end of her days to her Heavenly Father and to her husband and children, grand children and great grandchildren.
My heart is completely broken and overwhelmed that she is not here anymore.
"I miss you already mom!"
As the late morning turned into the afternoon, my dad was ready to take the family to one of her favorite places to eat, Cracker Barrel. As we drove up to Cracker Barrel, we saw that everything had been freshly painted white with sharp black painted beams and posts. I love this strong contrast as black and white compliment each other to bring a clean and cheerful gift to the eyes of every guest that enters into the place where they will share a hot meal and reflect on what the Heavenly Father is doing in each of their lives.
I said, "Dad , mom would have flipped out over this new renovation! This looks fantastic! I love it!"
We were very excited with what Cracker Barrel was doing with this new concept.
This also leads me to tell you that in life, God wants to take us to new beginnings each day, while we remember the days from the past, not to dwell there, but to reflect and gain new insights as we stop for a moment before we accelerate and get to the next activity. That is living life to the fullest, with plenty of stop signs along the way. Looking at what the Heavenly Father is doing in our lives and around our lives. Making plans for the next moment. Going on a vacation, getting married, having children, reading through the Bible, building a new home, or simply eating at your favorite restaurant.

Remember to Stop at the Stop Sign and ask the Heavenly Father where to go next.
