which direction is best to face the sun in this house

I would point the front of the house north or south so that you don’t get heat gain on the east and west.

great design , whats the ideal plot size for such plan and how much is the cost to build such house in california without land price

The house is 70′ wide and 89′ deep. The lot would need a buildable area that would hold this size structure, without encroaching into the setbacks or conservation areas.
